Free PHP Helpdesk

27 Jun

I spent a few hours today searching for a good free PHP helpdesk system. Most of those that I found threw all sorts of php and javascript errors. I already started picturing the rest of my day fixing those errors.

Then bumped into Hesk. It turned out to be a quite nice and easy to install/use script. In case you are surfing Internet in vain (like I did) have a look at my working copy of Hesk here.

A few screenshots:

    Hi Dasha
if you are looking for something better but also heavier, trac ( is a good choice
    Features: python based
Requirements: you need a server on which you can put your hands (don’t know if there are providers for trac)
Benefits: it integrates perfectly with eclipse. Developers see the tickets directly inside the ide

I made a post here about truc-eclipse-mylyn. it’s in italian but screenshots will do the work.

Have you tried WATS? I think it is the easiest helpdesk system to use, it comes out of the box as a wordpress plugin, just plug and play 😉

Hi Dasha, I came across this a while ago but still haven’t got round to setting it up, so it’s good to hear your positive experience with it!

The WATS system for WordPress looks good perhaps if you’ve already using wordpress as a CMS on your website perhaps…

Nice to hear your findings anyway!

    Best wishes,
